Event Description Over 100 South American Wines (Chile, Argentina and Uruguay)
to Taste and Purchase at Special Discounts!

Join TasteDC and Country Vintners as we taste over 100 wines from Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, at this walk-around tasting of wines from established as well as up and coming wine regions. Chile has the ideal climate for producing world-class wines - the vineyards are protected by
the Andes Mountains, the oceans, and the desserts, and the vines have never seen Phylloxera, the root louse that has devastated the majority of the world's vines. Argentina's wine come primarily from the Mendoza Region where vines benefit from water irrigated from the melting snow of the Andes Mountains. Argentina is primarily known for producing unusually flavorful Malbecs, a red grape that is part of the
blend used to make the world's great Bordeaux wines. New on the world wine scene is Uruguay which has taken primarily the Tannat grape from France and made many highly respectful wines.

Bread, cheese and fruit will be served at this reception.
Please note: this is a standing/reception event, dress is business casual
About
TasteDC
TasteDC creates exciting wine and food events for the lifestyle generation. We've been producing wine tastings and festivals for the past three years, so we know what you the consumer wants: fun events that mix tasting great wine with food and entertainment. In fact, our events are a non-intimidating way to learn about wine in a sophisticated but casual setting. Our events are perfect for beginners who just want to taste or more advanced wine people who want to get current on the wine scene. Like our motto says:

"If It's Taste, We Have It!"
