About Under One Roof:
Under One Roof raises unrestricted funding for 37 HIV/AIDS service organizations (ASO's) which provide housing, medical, social service and other support services to men, women and children impacted by HIV/AIDS. Despite advances in drug therapies, with significant recent reductions in federal, state and county HIV/AIDS funding, Under One Roof continues to fulfill a critical funding need for its agencies. Through Under One Roof, participating agencies are able to invest cash in wholesale merchandise. They then leverage these funds through retail sales of donated and purchased inventory, receiving 100 percent of store proceeds net of operating expenses. This simple and highly effective business model typically affords an ASO return on investment of more than 150 percent. Under One Roof has sold more than $10 million in retail merchandise since its inception in 1990, raising more than $3 million in funding for participating organizations.
