Southern California residents will be treated to the 1st Annual Electric Vehicle Festival. The Event will be help on July 18th, from 2 PM to 10 PM at Hollywood Park. It will be held in conjunction with the California Truck Jam and Car Show, which has been holding the annual car event for nearly 10 years. This year, the combined event is expecting nearly 10k visitors.
The Electric Vehicle Festival will include Do-It-Yourself Electric Vehicles and Electric Vehicle Manufacturers such as Aptera, Phoenix, Th!nk, Tesla, Zero Motorcycles, 2010 Toyota Prius, and many more.
A few lucky visitors will be treated to test rides in certain electric vehicles. The Tesla goes 0-60 mph in less than 4 seconds. Not all electric cars are slow and geeky looking. There will also be a Burn Out Contest, which will feature electric cars up against their gas counter-parts
